To address the low electrolysis efficiency of both the initial vanadium electrolyte and the acidic aqueous solution containing trivalent vanadium in vanadium redox flow batteries, our company has developed a method for directly synthesizing vanadium electrolytes through electrolytic reduction using vanadium pentoxide as the raw material. Through the development of pilot-scale electrolysis cells and optimization of electrode types and reaction conditions, we successfully achieved an electrolysis efficiency exceeding 96%. One related invention patent has been filed.
