FDCA is the core monomer for preparing the bio-based plastic PEF, which can perfectly replace petroleum-based plastics derived from non-renewable sources.

PET is widely used in plastic packaging, textiles, films, and other applications, demonstrating significant market potential. Traditional chemical synthesis requires high temperatures and pressures, which imposes substantial constraints.

Using precious metal catalysts, we have developed an (electrocatalytic oxidation) process that converts biomass-derived HMF into target products under ambient temperature and pressure conditions.

The material is efficiently and environmentally friendly converted into FDCA.

Our company has independently developed a complete pilot-scale process for the green electrochemical synthesis of furanedicarboxylic acid (FDCA), achieving a yield of up to 96.7%, a current efficiency of 85.9%, and exceptionally high product selectivity. We have now completed long-term testing at the pilot scale and are currently advancing toward kilogram-scale production.
